Vacation time!!

Hi sweethearts!

Today is vacation day :) okay... Vacation is not really the right name since I have to work again in a week. But still, it's my first week off this year and I really can't wait. I'm doing the most fun thing ever with my dad.. We wanna get away either tonight or tomorrow morning, and we haven't booked anything yet. So it's really a last minute week away!
We wanna get to the sun and actually just relax for a week and not do ANYTHING.

Anyone that has any tips on where to go? As long as it's sunny we don't really care.

Xoxo!

Yesterday's outfit

Hi there gorgeous people!

On the pic you see above this post you can see my outfit of yesterday, the last day of sunshine. Wore my hair up with a scarf around it, which is a way of wearing my hair that I really love.
It's so easy, if you have a bad hair day you just do your hair up and wrap a scarf around your head. Easy and fun!

Over my H&M skirt I wore a simple white tank top. I have like, 10 of those in my closet because you can combine them with everything. Shoe wise I wore some easy simple black leather sandals with some studs on them. It's a simple outfit, but really summery and that makes me love wearing outfits like these.

Love,

Emma

Denim on denim

Hey babes!

Denim on denim has never been a favorite of mine. I think that's because there used to be this "trend' of people wearing denim jackets with jeans. They would wear them in colors that kind of matched, but not completely... I gotta admit that was one of my worst nightmares. Seriously people, look at yourself when you pull open your closet. But well, even though non-matching color pallettes are an allergy of mine, I think all people should have the right to wear whatever they want. I can look at people and think: "wow, how did you wake up this morning and put THAT on?" but I always wave that thought away because I don't think it's fair to critisize people on the way they look. If they think it's pretty, it's their truth and they have every right to think that.

Back to the subject of this post then.... Denim on denim. I found these jeans at Primark, which I used to really hate but now start to appreciate more and more. Since I became a student and my shopping-funding has been cut off almost completely, I'm starting to enjoy buying more pretty clothes instead of 1 item that was really expensive. Price is not that important to me anymore. These jeans were only €15, and as I said came from Primark. They are a bit stretchy, which makes them easier for my big butt to get in (haha). The shirt that I'm wearing is a vintage Levi's oversized blouse which is one of the favorite items in my closet. I can forget about it for months but sometimes I wear it twice a week. Under the jeans I'm wearing my worn out navy-blue Vans, usually my working/going out shoes but the comfiest ones in my shoe rack. I kept my accessories to a minimum, only wore a brown fringe bag and did my hair up with a red scarf.

I would like to know if you enjoy outfit posts, because I really love making them but only if they're interesting enough.... Let me know via a comment!

Love, Emma.

Fave sunnies

On the picture above you see me with me all time favorite sunnies. I bought them at this shop that I really love, Episode. It's a vintage store and they sell a lot of crap, things with way too many different floral prints and other dramatic things that even I would never be seen in. They however sell amazing accessories, and also great pants. Pants, you ask? Yes. Pants. They sell a lot of different Levi's for no more than €25. You have the classic high waisted model, but they have also made it their trademark to cut them off or customize them. I really love shopping there! You can find Episode in Utrecht at the end of the Oudegracht, and in Amsterdam in the 9 streets (De 9 Straatjes).
These sunnies were bought in a large party and cost me €15. Way above my usual sunglasses-budget, but so what!

Polish or urban?

When I woke up this morning, I had an idea for a blog post but nowhere to actually post it. So I decide to make a new blog, my 5378th time. This time I'm really going to keep up, I promise.

This blog is about so many different things, but I'll try to give a light (and as short as possible) explanation of what it's going to be about.
At first, fashion, my biggest passion (har-har that rimes). I love fashion and shopping, but mostly I love looking for stuff that other people would easily look over. I would describe my style as indescribable, hence the title of my blog. I can be preppy, I can be casual, I can look like a hobo, it just depends on my feelings that day.
That brings me to the next topic, which is me trying to find out if I want to be preppy or casual, polish or urban.
Besides all those things I'll post about school, music, family, friends, me trying to get healthy again (not sick, just chubby) and things that I like!

I hope that with this I've done enough explaining about myself...
If you read this, post a comment telling me who you are and how you came to my blog :) would love to read that!

Family holidays and why I love them

I've always really adored the vacations and trips me and my family went on. Before I moved out and got my own place, it was very logical for me to go with my parents on vacation. I've actually never been alone (except for visiting my ex in England two times). We always went on vacation with our car, mostly because my father didn't mind driving, but also because they really don't like flying.
We've been to a lot of places, but I think my favorite destination of all has always been Corsica. Even when my sister and I were little children, my parents used to take us there. To the bounty beach, to the laid-back camping site in the middle of the forest where you could spot snakes and try to catch lizards.

My sister and me in Paris. Guess this was the summer
before I moved out and really started appreciating her.
I think the most exciting part about our vacation has always kind of been the car ride. Corsica is a long drive, it even has a boat ride of 6 hours in it. I can imagine what a horror it must have been for my dad, driving for 24 hours straight with two screaming and fighting children in the back seat. I always hated my parents during those car rides, not even to begin of my sister. If I could, I would have probably scratched her eyeballs out in that car. But there was always this moment that it would change. Whenever you would get off the highway, pull up to this little town and search for your destination.. Dad would roll down the windows and you would feel the warm air getting in the car (after which we would ask dad to please close the windows and turn on the airco). Even if we'd been fighting for all the car ride, my sister and I would sit up straight, look at each other and smile. It was always this magical beginning of three weeks of happiness.
